Abstract
For the repair of NPP (Nuclear Power Plant) pipelines with wall thinning defects, there are alternative technologies to replacing the defective section. These include the installation of reinforcing repair structures such as welded sleeve or welded patch plate. The results of a finite element analysis of the stress-strain state of a straight pipeline section with an erosion-corrosion defect under internal pressure demonstrated the high effectiveness of using welded sleeve and welded patch plates in unloading the defective area.
