Abstract

The work presents the results of laser surface alloying of CuCrZr alloy by chromium and structural changes for two experiments: without and with simultaneous forced cooling to liquid nitrogen temperature. A locally periodic structure has been formed on the surface with areas characterized by an increased chromium content and a higher hardness than the hardness of the base material. Such structural changes can improve wear resistance and creep resistance of the surface layer at high operating temperatures.
