Abstract
The effect of various deformation schemes on the structure and properties of iron powder compacts was studied. Shear-intensive methods, such as high-pressure torsion and asymmetric rolling, provided anisotropic structures with minimal porosity and enhanced bonding. The highest green strength (420 MPa) was achieved using shear deformation, demonstrating its efficiency for powder densification.
